CIRCLE ALLIES

Are you ready to be inspired?
Are you willing to be transformed?
You think you're coming to help, but as you open your heart some of your assumptions start falling away and you see that "inspiring change" goes both ways.
Circle Ally
MORE THAN NUMBERS

The latest estimates suggest that more than 3,400 of our neighbors in Harvey County, Kansas are in poverty. At least twice that many live day to day or paycheck to paycheck without the resources or safety net to handle the smallest crisis. In the Newton School District, 59% of all students qualified for the free/reduced lunch program in 2011. These are kids who have no say in the matter.

Statistics are staggering, even numbing, but we cannot afford to look away. These numbers have faces and names and stories to tell. Circles of Hope offers a way to form new relationships and start making a real and lasting difference in our community, one family at a time.

Are you ready to start changing the world?

The first action plan that joins the resources of individuals, organizations, communities, and government to eradicate poverty. Learn about the Circles™ Campaign and how you can help eliminate barriers confronted by those in poverty. Become an ally to those in need and a transformational leader in your community.
How does poverty impact learning, work habits and decision-making? People in poverty face challenges virtually unknown to those in middle class or wealth—challenges from both obvious and hidden sources. The reality of being poor brings out a survival mentality, and turns attention away from opportunities taken for granted by everyone else.
Most anti-poverty programs lack a system-wide scope of effort. But when ALL stakeholders—people in poverty, communities, businesses, organizations--come to the table with a coherent plan of action, amazing things happen.
Ideal for book study or Sunday school, this book provides solutions for creating a real, welcoming environment by understanding economic class. Includes a new chapter for assessing resources.
It helps social, health, business, and legal professionals in middle class and wealth to understand the tyranny of living in poverty in constant survival mode. This book helps you or your organization create many more opportunities for sustainable success
